Alex, tell us about your artistic journey
Starting in radio, I turned to art during a transitional period back in my hometown, Inverell NSW. It was not just a hobby but a therapeutic outlet for my anxiety. Embracing this newfound passion, I launched my art career full-time in March 2023, finding both joy and success in my artistic endeavours.
Tell us about your artistic style
My art is characterized by textured florals, deeply inspired by the Australian flora, especially my mother’s native garden. I enjoy bringing these elements to life using a unique acrylic and thickener blend, applied with palette knives or piping for a distinctive, tactile effect.
Are you earning from your art?
Yes, art is now my full-time occupation. I sell my works through Instagram and my website, where I’ve found incredible success with commissions since going full-time in March 2023.

Do you have a day job?
I’m a full-time artist now, previously working as a radio announcer. My journey in the art world has been one of embracing my true calling.

I’m excited about my solo exhibition at the end of the year and am constantly working on new prints and products. It’s an exhilarating time in my career.
